FREDI & EMMA RIVERO
joined Kids Alive in 2011 when Mission TEC came under the umbrella of Kids Alive International, and continue to serve in the Mission TEC Care Centre in Pucallpa, Peru.
Fredi was born in Tarapoto, Peru, but moved to the Pucallpa area with his family when he was 14 years old, due to terrorism in his land. Fredi attended Mission TEC from 2000 to 2002 as a student, when it was a technical training school, and went on to study and teach English in several institutions in Pucallpa.
Emma was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but had the opportunity to serve in several different countries before coming to Peru. Initially, Emma spent two years in Arequipa in the south of Peru, and then headed north to the jungle to serve with Mission TEC. Emma has now been serving in Peru for 11 years, nine of these based in the TEC Care Centre.
KYLE & CRISTINA THOMAS
joined South American Mission after 14 years of ministry in Pucallpa, Peru. Their transition from the ministry of Kids Alive International to SAM places them in a key position to focus on church engagement, discipleship, and to contribute to Peru field leadership projects. The Thomases are uniquely gifted to facilitate short-term teams, mentor new missionaries, provide care and encouragement to long-term missionaries, and to strategically plan out long-term goals for local leadership. Additionally, Cristina is gifted in teaching and is an asset to SAM Academy in Pucallpa.
